After years of public policy, Kelle Boyd returned to her childhood love of art. Her passion was rekindled when she went to the store to purchase art supplies as a stress reliever. Who knew that two years later, in 2006, this would lead to the beginning of Ann Kelle Designs. Her colorful, fresh, and modern designs now appear on a variety of paper products found on the shelves of boutiques, as well as stores such as Target and Barnes & Noble.
EVERYDAY INSPIRATION:
Kelle's designs are inspired by all that she has always known and loved as a kid… from her dad's tie to spring flowers, ice cream, her favorite rock band, and even the sweaters she wore in the second grade.
A TINY FLASHBACK:
"As a child I enjoyed drawing. By the tender age of nine years old, I was already a fashionista — designing my own line of children's clothes and wedding dresses which I would cart around in my backpack."
CELEBRATING WITH STATIONERY:
"I've always loved cute and fun paper. Growing up, I would spend the summers with my grandparents. One of my aunts purchased my first stationery set to write letters to my parents. I may have written a couple of letters. But, the paper was SO cute, that I didn't want to write on it. Twenty-five years later, I still have my very first stationery set — tucked away in a safe place and every once in a while, I get it out to look at it. I still think it's the cutest thing!"
