Hanukah or Chanukah at Tiny Prints. Choose from custom and personalized designs of any Hanukah or Chanukah
Hanukah is approaching, and before commemorating the Festival of Lights with a card or gift, you might want to decide on a spelling. Dont worry if you dont catch on right away- most of the world cant decide on just one! The reason for that is simple: Its not English at all. As a Jewish holiday, it is a Hebrew word with Hebrew letters that much of the world cannot read. In the process of transliteration-writing the Hebrew sounds with Western characters- not everyone has agreed. The most common has become Hanukkah, with the emphasis on the kk sound, a guttural noise in the back of your throat. Sometimes, though, the spelling is Chanukah, with the same guttural noise noted, but this time pinpointed at the beginning, where it is highlighted with ch. In other words- there really is no wrong way to spell Hanukkah in English, even though there are two that have become popular. Either way, it conveys the same word and the same celebration: an eight day festival recalling a time of miracles and provision.
Customer reviews Hanukah or Chanukah
November 10, 2014Cute for dog-lovers.
"Really enjoyed the mention of Chanukah, too. We put our three fur kids in the smaller pics, and one of us in the large spot. Ordered this with the pearlescent finish--turned out pretty!"
December 26, 2013Lovely Card
"I love these index cards. The picture quality came out very nice, the text printing is beautiful, and the paper quality is good. If I had to make any negative comments at all, it would simply be that I wish there was an option to have lines on the card for handwriting as opposed to using with the computer/printer."
November 23, 2013Big Photo Front and Center
"Big Photo is perfect and needs to be one of your foremost products. I want to use my own design but I don't want to give up everything else tinyprints offers: quality paper and printing, speedy shipping, great customer service, and VALUE!"
November 3, 2013Chanukah-Christmas Card
"Excellent photo card for the mixed faith, Jewish-Christian household. The diverse dogs that greet each other with their opposite holiday greeting is funny."
September 4, 2012great thank you
"Although the picture at the top is small, the design leaves plenty of room for a hand-written note, while still having the personalized touch of the picture and the name. I received several compliments on the card. It was great for my 4 year old son's birthday notes."
