After living in Oregon, San Francisco and Los Angeles, Julia currently resides in the Seattle area with her rescue dog Cleopatra (aka Cleo). Julia attended the University of Oregon, majoring in digital arts with an emphasis in typography. In addition to creating cards for Tiny Prints, she has designed for West Elm, Z Gallerie and VFG Design—just to name a few. Julia enjoys spending time in the San Juan Islands, running with Cleo and being involved in the Seattle art scene.
ON GETTING STARTED:
"I have always been an artist at heart, but I got into designing paper goods when I took a letterpress class in college. I also was the 21st employee at Tiny Prints back in 2006!"
EVERYDAY INSPIRATION:
"I always ask myself what I would want in a design. All of my designs are very personal, and I look at my favorite artists, letterpress artists and silkscreen artists for color inspiration. I also look at vintage wallpaper for pattern ideas, and I always try to stay on top of graphic trends."
