Gloria Wall, the designer and owner of Kate & Birdie Paper Company, is known for her hand-drawn style. She uses only original illustrations and patterns for Kate & Birdie's stationery collection and products for the home. A self-taught artist, Gloria founded Kate & Birdie in 2004 when the birth of her daughter required birth announcements, thank you notes and plenty of party invitations. Her love of color and illustration, paired with a long line of entrepreneurs in her family, meant that starting a creative business was a natural fit. She introduced her first wholesale collection in 2006 and launched Kate & Birdie across the country, moving her growing business to the top floor of an old sewing factory in one of North America's oldest commercial districts. The studio, the view and neighborhood provide plenty of inspiration from which Gloria draws her innovative new ideas. Her growth as an artist has become evident in her work with hundreds of stores across North America, Europe and Australia now stocking Kate & Birdie goods.
