Help your baby learn to sleep

This chat event took place June 20, 2002.

Jules: Hi, everyone. We're here with Elizabeth Pantley. Elizabeth is the mom of four, parenting expert, attachment parenting supporter and the writer of several parenting books, including the one we're discussing today, The No-Cry Sleep Solution: Gentle Ways to Help Your Baby Sleep Through the Night. She offers compassionate, simple tips to help your child learn better sleeping habits, without tears. Welcome, Elizabeth! Can you tell us a little more about you and your book?

Elizabeth Pantley: Hello everyone! I'm glad to be here. My own baby is off with Grandma to the park. My older three "babies" are off at school. (It's the last day! Summer vacation begins! Whoo Hooo!) Anybody want to talk about babies and sleep?

dubbogod: Definitely!

Sheila: Yes, yes, yes!

JarodNAlexMommy: Me, me, me!

Elizabeth Pantley: My "baby," Coleton, is two-years-old. At 12 months, he was waking every hour or two to breastfeed. He now sleeps 10 hours at night and takes a two-hour nap. My group of 60 Test Mommies all had similar success, and since then I'm getting 50 emails a day from readers who are all GETTING SOME SLEEP!
