"For 30 years I've prepared elaborate photo Christmas cards, usually amending a non-photo card to render surprises and more interest. Ridiculously laborious, all hand done, taking many hours and days for the finished product. This year, I didn't even know if we'd do a card. But two Sundays ago, we placed my 97-year-old father-in-law in a cheap Santa suit my wife found at a Christmas store, and after trying to pose him with a cat in antlers (hopeless), we positioned him in front of the Christmas tree in closeup holding an old bottle of Coke we'd found with his eyes wide and hands raised in surprise. With that, we had our cover, for a trifold card. Open inside, and we used a picture from last Christmas of the 4 of us plus him with my wife and him wearing Santa hats, and on the back for the other large picture we had the same gang all wearing fake mustaches and posing, as a lark at the time of my wife's birthday, him with a hand in his vest and a hat from Nepal, looking like a Turkish chieftain. So the card celebrated him, which was great. The rest of the smaller pictures I gathered from events through the year. From getting the camera out to sending out for prints took a total of two hours. I received many calls from friends and people at work about how they laughed, and how much they loved the card. Much better than just passing on the trouble of a card for this year. Two hours. I still find it amazing. Last year we used a similar trifold card. While shopping for a Christmas tree, my son and I got the quirky idea of how funny it would be to send our 19 year old daughter through the tree netting hoop, as if she were a tree. The people at the tree lot laughed, and said, "Why not?" We all pitched in, took some cell phone photos of her being horizontally loaded in, and then netted, and then extracted, and then my son carrying her to the car and placing her on top for the ride home, looking happy, then frightened. We took her down, but back at home (still netted), we put her back up, looking worse for wear, as if she'd ridden on top the whole way. We then went inside and quickly decorated her, out of the netting (with hands above her head holding a star), and took one photo placing an ornament near her nose with her looking wary, and one final picture of all of us with her fully decorated, looking happy and serene. We later went back, and took a photo of her amongst the trees in the lot, hands again touching above her head, as a tree for selection. I thought of putting this all together as a collage, but that would've taken eons, and I doubt I could've done it, but that's when I found Tiny Prints and the trifold card. Once that was found, again it took about an hour to put it all together and send out the order. I was dumbfounded how easy it was. And although this whole project sounds like a lot, from first concept in the tree lot to the final photo only took about an hour, and the same for the work on the card, once I found Tiny Prints, and selected the template. Two hours again. When we took the finished card back to the tree lot, the people there were ecstatic, and now keep the card out for all to see. Our friends laughed, and loved it. We loved doing it, because it was quirky, and celebrated our daughter. And without Tiny Prints, it never could've gotten done. The only reason for the 4 stars for photo and paper quality is that I think if the photos actually looked and felt like real standalone photo prints attached to paper, it would give the card more punch. But that's being pretty picky. The finished cards were great, and the service from Tiny Prints for these very last-minute projects was unbelievable, over the phone and in the quickness of getting the cards back to us. This has been a true godsend."
"This is such a beautiful trifold card that allows you to display photos from a great photo shoot. The quality of the paper was great. My only complaint is that when the card is folded to go in envelope, the "merry Christmas" front side displays a tiny sliver of the middle picture on the right. This card migh also look better with a rounded cut. Overall, I was able to make a lovely card for our family."
"This was part of my first order from TinyPrints and I couldn't be much more excited! I'm thinking of skipping Black Friday shopping to get a head start on Christmas cards -- THAT'S how wonderful these are! The product is great quality. This particular card fits a lot of photos, which I loved. The cards come flat in a plastic wrapper, but folding is quite easy. The paper already has a little bend in the places where you are supposed to fold. I'm not sure about anyone else, but this was a big worry for me when I was ordering. (I fretted over "Do they come pre-folded? Or am I going to have to fold a totally flat sheet of paper and mess up 5 cards before I get the process down? Will my cards be uneven because I didn't fold well enough?") Never fear, TinyPrints has this under control!"
