Or if you only want a few small details to accent that adorable snapshot of your little one, we have designs with simple stripes and delicate polka dots. So before taking pictures for birth announcements, go ahead and browse through our wide selection of designs to gather some inspiration for your tiny tot's photo shoot. Also, some parents prefer to include photos of their baby as a newborn on birth announcements while others like to wait until they are a bit older to take that precious picture. But no matter what photo you decide to feature, those closest to you will love seeing your sweet little angel front and center on your announcements.
Sending Baby Announcements
If your baby is almost here and you're wondering when to send birth announcements, there's no better time to mail them than right after your child is born. This way your loved ones can be informed of the great news and become acquainted with your brand new addition. But if you prefer not to send your birth announcements immediately, mailing them within six months of your baby's birthday
is also acceptable. In any case, the sooner that you can start designing your birth announcement, writing out addresses and buying stamps, the less pressure you will feel later on. And if you're asking yourself, who do you send birth announcements to? While close friends and family members are of course a must, it's also fine to send them to neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who you think will love to hear the fantastic news.
Birth Announcement Wording
Whether you're expecting your first child or your kids are just so much fun that you decided to have another one, birth announcements are the perfect way to share your excitement with friends and family. And with your birth announcements wording
, you can express your joy in a very heartfelt and intimate way. So in addition to the important information such as your newborn's name, birth date, weight and length, feel free to either use one of our suggested birth announcement examples of wording or you can come up with your own personal message. Also, by including a touching poem or a meaningful quote your baby's birth announcement will be even more special.

"My chosen card design complemented my chosen photos so the colours worked really well together as well as the photo composition. I couldn't be happier with the end product."

December 19, 2013Loved this!!
"The photo we picked has very vibrant colors and I was not disappointed in the print quality at all. Everything was as bright and cheery as promised (: My only regret is that I didn't have more made. Going for round two so I can send a few more of these out."
September 26, 2013Gorgeous
"This birth announcement was a huge hit with family and friends. The print was beautiful and turned out exactly as it looked on the computer. The pictures also look incredible. I have to admit that we did use "professional" photos in ours.... a hospital-based photographer visited us while we were still in the hospital to snap our photos. This made choosing the pictures very easy. We chose an up-close, color photo for the main picture at the top, and we chose two black and white photos for the bottom (one of our son's little feet and the other of his head being held in my husband's hands). I'm so glad I went with this card."
August 15, 2013Everyone loved it!
"We absolutely love the way this birth announcement came out. The quality of the card stock is great and the envelopes are nice and thick too. Everyone That we've sent the card to loves it and some have even said that they want to use the same card when they have children. Overall we are very pleased with the quality of the product and with the service received. We would highly recommend it to others."
