What Information Should I Put on My Business Card?
A conversation about your business can tell someone so much information, but are just a few lines on your business cards enough to make your business memorable? That would depend entirely on what information you choose to put on your business card.
A business card should always include your name, position in the company, company name and contact information such as email address, phone number including extension, fax number, and mailing address. If you would like to include your cell phone number as well as your office number then it is perfectly acceptable. If your company has a logo then you should put that on your card as well as a logo on a business card does just what a logo is meant to do, set your business card apart from others.
Business cards are often the first piece of information that a potential client will receive regarding your company, that is why it is crucial to double and triple-check everything on the card to make sure that there are no misspellings or typos. This is the first impression and you want it to be a great one. Before sending your business card template off to the printers, you should have a friend or colleague check the card over for mistakes as well; often another pair of eyes will catch something that you may have missed.
Some business cards can include a picture of yourself; this isn't a bad idea and will often help a client remember who you are and your conversation. If you choose to not have a picture on your business card then don't worry, a classic business card is always acceptable.
