Robot parties can be a lot of fun to plan for and host. Even better, they are incredibly versatile; you can get cutesy, artsy, creative, chic or sophisticated. To that end, here are a few tips for such parties.
Using robot fonts on items such as party banners reading, “Happy Birthday!” can really elevate your shindig. A few fonts are probably included with the word processing system you have, and others such as Disposable Droid BB Regular are available online for free. You can also use LED font. Other places to have fun with robot fonts include on the birthday cake and on the robot party invitations. You can also use robot fonts to label items such as “Microchips” (for party chips in buckets) and other chip play such as “Computer Chips.” You could use “Nuts and Bolts” for a bucket of party mix. “Liquid Hydrogen” for a drink and “Browser Cookies” are other ideas. It’s time for your wordplay geek to emerge!
Font choices are only one aspect of the decorations, although they can elevate decor to another level. To infuse a party with a robotic feel, pick up metallic stuff and googly eyes. For example, glue pairs of eyes on tin cans that hold plastic ware, napkins and food. Nuts and bolts are other options that serve a purpose similar to the googly eyes. For liquids, use food colorings or drinks with bright colors that resemble, say, rocket fuel or liquid nitrogen.
You can create or buy small robot toys to arrange around the party space, and use a robot as a cake topper. Alternatively, you could use robot-themed biscuits in addition to or in lieu of cake. Kids may also love making their own antennae headbands. You can personalize gift wrap with robot themes, and you might enjoy staying with the theme when you write thank-you notes a few weeks later.
"Beautiful card and I'm always impressed with the turn around time of Tiny Prints. So wonderful for a busy mother who is running behind on birthday planning"
"We were very pleased with our invitations! The cards were very professional looking and well made! If we ever need paper goods this is the place!"
"I chose to use this card for my son's high school graduation party invitation. I wanted a patriotic color palette since he is joining the military. I felt this was a more mature and elegant option than most graduation designs. I used the same fonts and colors as the example. I was able to add his senior picture to the back. This card turned out beautiful as do all that I order from Tiny Prints!"
"The quality of paper used, the colors, and the style helped make this invite for my little guys 4th birthday party too perfect. It captures his sweet and funny personality to a T. You always deliver perfection tiny prints, thanks!"
"We were so happy to find this card after searching & searching for a space themed non-alien type invitation. The design is adorable and I loved that I could include a pic on the front & back of my little astronaut! As always, tiny prints service is fast and the printing quality is top notch! Thank you!!"
