Many children are into dance, and quite a few aspiring ballerinas would love having ballerina-themed birthday parties. Here are a few ideas and tips for invitations if you are considering such a party for your child.
Ballerina invitations are a great way to set the tone for a birthday party. You could opt for introductory wording such as, “Our aspiring ballerina Jane is turning five!” or “Join us for a ballerina birthday party.” Allow your child to help select the cards; pink features heavily on many invitations, but there are plenty of other color choices for kids who prefer alternative colors. You can also opt to upload a photo of your child for the front of the invitation. This choice is ideal for boys who are into ballet, as many predesigned cards feature only girls.
The term “ballerina party” may mean different things to different people. Some families may think it means their children should show up in a tutu, for instance. Take the guesswork out of the equation by adding a simple phrase such as, “Dressing up in tutus is encouraged,” or “No need to dress up!” You may also want to clarify the gifts issue with something such as, “Gifts are not required, but if you want to give them, they don’t need to be ballet-related.”
Aim to mail the invitations about a month before the party, and if you want, it can be great fun to further customize your invitations with personalized postage and/or address labels. You can also continue the ballerina theme with the thank-you cards mailed a few weeks after the party. Above all, do not forget to include the party time, date and location. With all of the fun that goes into customizing ballerina invitations, it can be easy for key details to fall by the wayside!
"We used a black and white photo for our granddaughter's 1st birthday announcements and they looked amazing! The colors are so soft and feminine."
"The paper is great quality and the image and writing was printed well (nice colors, good definition). Perfect first birthday invitation."
"My 3 year old and all loved the invitation, we also included a wallet size picture of her from her dance recital, so that tied it together for such a cute invitation for her birthday. I would recommend this product and site to everyone.... This is not my first order and have not been disappointed. I even got a personal call to make sure I had some punctuation correct as well. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!! and so was the invitation."
"My daughter's 4th birthday is coming up and we went through all of the selections at TinyPrints. We both loved this invite and when it came in the mail, it was perfect!! I have been getting a lot of complements on it!!"
"We used the Pink Ballerina card to make invitations for a three year old "Princess" birthday party and our little girl, her friends and all of the mom's commented on how adorable and charming the invitation was. The birthday party was wonderful and this invitation that I have placed in her memory book will always remind us of how sweet all of the three year old girls looked when they dressed up at the party (and quite frankly looked a lot like this little girl featured in the card). The service, color, printing, and card quality were outstanding and I enthusiastically recommend this product and Tiny Prints!"
