The old rhyme says little boys are made of “snips and snails and puppy dog tails.” If you are blessed with a young son, then you know they also have plenty of goodness in them. Boys may not show it as easily or as often as girls do, but they want and need affection just as much, though perhaps shown in different ways. This Valentine’s Day, along with special boy Valentine cards, consider other ways to show your son he matters and is appreciated for who he is.
Is your son a budding astronomer or cosmologist? Then name a star after him. This is a gift he can cherish his entire life. Another great idea is planning a family outing to a planetarium or local star gazing event.
Children, whether boys or girls, appreciate personalized gifts. This also includes matching their interests. If you son enjoys baseball, for example, consider giving him a baseball with words inscribed on it in red saying “You’re a hit.”
If your son enjoys nature, consider giving him a simple bonsai set. With this ancient art, he can groom a tree from seedling to maturity and imbue it with his own eye and instinct for beauty. It is a gift that he can have for years. Spend time with him and take him to a public garden. Encourage your son to share his knowledge of the plants and trees you both see.
The gifts need not be elaborate or expensive. In fact, too many material things can give him the wrong message about love. However, when you show him that you know and understand his interests with thoughtfully chosen presents, you are showing him that you love and appreciate him. Just as important, when you make time to be with him, he can learn that he is worthwhile and lovable, and you cannot put a price on that.
"I got these cards for my 2-year old son to pass out to his pre-school class and teachers and family members. They are beautifully printed on soft thick paper. I love the size, they are pretty small, but come with their own tiny envelopes! Very happy with my purchase."
"These invitations are adorable. They are perfect for my car and truck loving two year old. The paper is very nice quality and best of all...they shipped FAST! I received them in three days!"
"My 5-year-old daughter chose this card to give to her Pre-K classmates. We personalized with her photo on the inside. She loved it!"
"The only reason I did not give the customer service/delivery part 5 stars is because a few of my cards arrive damaged through the thin sulifane packaging. The cards were nothing less than amazing, I abosolutely loved them, I was just disappointed that a few were damaged."
"This is an adorable and different valentine card for little girls..not your run-of-the-mill card..My daughter Loves it!!"
