I just can't believe how damn old I am, like Mother Time. It seems like just a few years ago, we were opening presents all day at Grandma and Grandpa Glathar's farm.
Since mid-summer, I've kept up on my blog: Pink Cloud Industries. Every time I make cookies, people say 'you should open a bakery'. Every time I throw a party, people say 'you should be a party planner'. Every day, I read a collection of blogs that revive that home-made creativity inside me. So I've decided to write my own blog to determine 'what I should do' (besides work and work). I'd love to make blogging friends all over the world and attend some blogging conferences. I hope you all read it, enjoy it, and share it with your friends and family. http://pinkcloudindustries.blogspot.com/
Sport Obermeyer has promoted me to 'PreSchool Product Line Manager'. The best way to describe it is Merchandiser-In-Training. I am LOVING this job: it is a balance between business, statistics, and design. So, I'll be living in Aspen a little while longer.
Dad visited me over Winterskol weekend: my favorite Aspen holiday. He saw snow, and took his first gondola and chairlift rides. We snowshoed a lot, ate a lot of delicious Aspen food, and saw fireworks.
Pink is happy and as healthy as an old spoiled ferret could be. She has replaced her play time with cuddle time, and that is just fine with me! She has 3 benign masses, each the size of a quarter, on her spleen, so she has a big belly that she loves to have rubbed. I had a very big 'going away' party for her this summer, as I thought it was her time. The party perked her up so much! Thank you everyone for coming to play with her.
I'm having the babysitting blues as my favorites grow up and don't need me so much anymore. The greatest part about working for a service is that there is always new kids to meet!
I still dream about being a mother.
I made it back to Omaha quite a few times this summer. One special friend from back in the day works at Henry Doorly Zoo, and I had an amazing tour! It was humourous to go to the College World Series downtown instead of at the zoo. I also had the pleasure of attending Westside's 25th Reunion. Another old friend owns Jones Brothers, where I've had a few too many cupcakes.
Best Holiday Wishes to All, and I hope your 2012 dreams ring true!
