So before taking pictures for birth announcements, go ahead and browse through our wide selection of designs to gather some inspiration for your tiny tot's photo shoot. Also, some parents prefer to include photos of their baby as a newborn on birth announcements while others like to wait until they are a bit older to take that precious picture. But no matter what photo you decide to feature, those closest to you will love seeing your sweet little angel front and center on your announcements.
Sending Baby Announcements
If your baby is almost here and you're wondering when to send birth announcements, there's no better time to mail them than right after your child is born. This way your loved ones can be informed of the great news and become acquainted with your brand new addition. But if you prefer not to send your birth announcements immediately, mailing them within six months of your baby's birthday
is also acceptable. In any case, the sooner that you can start designing your birth announcement, writing out addresses and buying stamps, the less pressure you will feel later on. And if you're asking yourself, who do you send birth announcements to? While close friends and family members are of course a must, it's also fine to send them to neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who you think will love to hear the fantastic news.
Birth Announcement Wording
Whether you're expecting your first child or your kids are just so much fun that you decided to have another one, birth announcements are the perfect way to share your excitement with friends and family. And with your birth announcements wording
, you can express your joy in a very heartfelt and intimate way. So in addition to the important information such as your newborn's name, birth date, weight and length, feel free to either use one of our suggested birth announcement examples of wording or you can come up with your own personal message. Also, by including a touching poem or a meaningful quote your baby's birth announcement will be even more special.

Customer reviews of our Photo Birth Announcements & Baby Announcements
June 24, 2015Beautiful card. Getting lots of compliments
"I was impressed with the wide selection. Also the easiness of assembling the images. User friendly and great professional results"
May 24, 2015pleased
"I'm pleased with how my son's birth announcements came out. I liked how I could put multiple pictures on it. The quality of the printing was excellent and the pictures were clear and had no issues. I do wish this card came with an option to put a picture on the back though."
February 23, 2015Excellent!
"These announcements are beautiful. On the front, I used a picture of my daughter taken on a creamy white blanket, and the full-bleed use of the photo with the gray text and light doily embellishments was lovely. I received several compliments. I do not think a photo with a darker background would work well with this design. On the back, I chose to use two smaller photos with captions on the simple white/cream background. In the captions, I wrote about why we chose her name since she is named after my late father and my husband's grandmother. It looked clean and was easy to read, and people responded well to that personalized touch. I also chose to use the matte paper so that I could write notes on the back, and it worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this design, but I would caution anyone that only certain photos will work well with the design elements on the front."
January 23, 2015Sweet announcement
"This is a wonderful card for a boy's baby announcement! I love the bold name on the card, along with the contemporary font. I chose the shimmer stock paper and am so glad...it gives it such a lux look and the paper feels substantial. I changed "Merry Christmas" to read "Welcomed With Love" since we had already sent Christmas cards out. Great quality card for such a special occasion!"
November 29, 2014Love the layout for multiple photos
"This design allows you to showcase a variety of photos. Love the blues for baby boy birth announcement. Personally didn't care for standard matte or pearlized. Opted for semi-gloss. Tiny Prints has the most AMAZING customer service. You can also order samples to see design and paper quality. I didn't realize that at first. I just wish the samples didn't take 2 wks to arrive, in my opinion too long hence why delivery received a 4."
