Custom Graduation Invitations for an Unforgettable Party
When your hard-working son or daughter makes it to graduation, the achievement is worthy of shouting from the rooftops. In your excitement, you may be tempted to invite everyone you know to the graduation celebration. However, if you are planning an after-graduation party where food is involved, you may need to be more selective about who you invite (unless you don’t mind feeding hundreds of people). Many families find that it is best to be more inclusive when inviting guests to the actual graduation ceremony, while reserving post-graduation party invitations for close friends and family.
Making a Graduation Guest List
It may be difficult to think of excluding anyone from attending the party, so we suggest taking an attitude of inclusivity rather than exclusivity when creating your invite list. Rather than writing down the names of people you do not plan to invite, focus instead on the people who mean the most to your graduate. Who will be most excited to celebrate this achievement in your son’s or daughter’s life? In most cases, only close family, friends, colleagues and perhaps bosses make it to this list.
Chances are good that your graduate will receive a fair amount of cash or gifts at the party, so be prepared by pre-ordering customized thank you notes
that can be filled out and sent in the mail after the event is over. You can design them to match the theme of your graduation invitations or go for a completely unrelated theme. Try to send the notes out no more than a few weeks after gifts are received.
Lastly, don’t get so caught up in party planning that you forget to create your own personalized gift for the special graduate in your life. As your son or daughter prepares to move out on their own, they will love being able to decorate their apartment or dorm room with customized wall décor
. You can also send them on their way with desk accessories
and personalized pillows
that will help them remember the comfort of home no matter where they may be.
Customer reviews of our Graduation Party Invitations & Graduation Cards
July 1, 2014Pleasant
"The card was beautifully presented and offered a layout to capture the graduate. We used her senior portrait and a photo of her holding the flag from her future college on the front. On the back was her school picture from kindergarden. Priceless. Many people that recieved the invite said it was the best they seen. Past, present and future!"
June 15, 2014Amazing quality and service
"I have only great things to say about the quality, service, and comments that people I sent the invitation to had to say about the invites. First, the invite was beautiful for my blingy grad! The pictures looked amazing and the customer service and delivery time were incredible. I will never use another site to order invites, pictures, or another other photo related needs."
June 8, 2014Daughter happy
"My daughter chose this design, used one of her senior pictures and we were Very Happy with the results. The card stock was sturdy, not flimsy and the picture quality was excellent. I will mention we did use a photo file from a professional photographer so I expected great results which we received. We found the customization tool very easy to use and edit. Highly recommend this design."
May 13, 2014They tuned out great
"I was pleased with the ease in ordering this card. I only wish there was just a tad more leeway in the way in which we could word our personal card. It seemed you had to stay within fairly tight parameters. But we made it work. Other than that, the invitation turned out great and the best part was my son was happy. It was delivered quickly and easy to send out!"
May 12, 2014Beautiful and Simple
"The website was easy and fun to use. Choosing and making the card was very easy! The cards arrived in a protective sturdy box, very nicely designed. The card looked more beautiful in person than on website. So glad we used Tiny Prints"
