If you have never sent Merry Christmas cards, now is a great time to get started. In fact, sending these cards is often great fun and can get you even more into the cheer of the holiday. Here are a few guidelines to help with the process of sending the cards.
Make your personal cards personal. As an example, photo cards are perfectly appropriate for the cards you send to family members and to close friends. They can also be signed by you and your significant other or by your entire family. On the other hand, many business Christmas cards do not have photos and are not from your other family members. Also, think about sending holiday cards instead of Merry Christmas cards to business associates (and personal friends) who may not celebrate Christmas. Last but not least, address business cards to the recipient’s workplace instead of to his or her home. Co-workers are one exception; these are okay to mail to home addresses.
E-cards are convenient, but for Christmas, go print. They provide a warm and personal touch, and that is what Christmas is all about. And since you are doing postal mail, you have the opportunity to use personalized postage stamps or personalized address labels for even more warm fuzzies. Do always include your return address, as it signals you as the sender of the card. It is also important for your recipients’ recordkeeping. If you are sending Merry Christmas cards in bulk, you may prefer preprinted messages. They do make your life easier, but try to sign your own name to each card and perhaps even write a few lines on some cards.
To ensure your cards arrive sometime during the second week in December, order them about mid-November so that they have ample time to arrive and that you have time to get them together to mail. Don’t worry, though, if you find yourself running late. You know the saying, “Better late than never.” Merry Christmas!
"These cards turned out GREAT! Love the design...we used it for a Christmas/pregnancy announcement by putting an ultrasound picture in the small box. PERFECT design for that!"
"Perfect, we loved it and so did everyone else. I used a photo editor app on my phone to create it. I only wish you had it as an option. Great job.Looking forward to future projects from you."
"Was able to share pictures to review 2013 and perfect wording for how we plan to spend 2014! Exactly the greeting I wanted to send our loved ones!"
"The standard weight paper was nice and heavy and the colors were vivid. The regular delivery arrived before the expected date I am reordering more today! Will definately use tiny prints for my son's engagement party invitations!"
"Beautiful card, printing quality superb. Definitely go for the better paper it is really worth it. Also, I would increase the type size (if possible) of the second line (family names) because it looks a bit small (you and your kids need to have short names for this to work)."
