What Types of Gifts Can You Place Inside a Birthday Card?
As children, we often receive gifts inside of our birthday cards. More often than not, it's cash, a gift card, or a check from someone who's not sure what gift to get for you. Don't think that birthday card gifts are limited to those three options though. There are many other gifts that are small enough to fit inside a card.
Jewelry: Small jewelry such as bracelets, earrings, and rings will be able to fit inside an envelope. Just make sure that the piece of jewelry you give isn't so fragile that it might get bent or damaged inside the envelope. This gift is best for giving the birthday card in person - jewelry is often too valuable to risk being lost or damaged in the mail.
Chocolate Kisses: While hopefully not the only birthday gift you give to your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife, this can be a cute addition to their birthday card. The envelope with a huge bulge will definitely stand out among the rest of the flat cards too.
Bottle Openers: There are flat bottle openers available that are about the size of a credit card, designed to fit in your wallet. One of these can be easily slipped into a birthday card, and you never know when it will come in handy!
Mini Pocket Knives: For the Boy Scout or handyman husband or boyfriend, this can be a great gift. At only two or three inches, they can fit nearly anywhere, especially inside a birthday card. They can then take it out and put it on their keychain for use around the house or while camping.
These are just a few ideas to get you started. The possibilities are endless - just think of small things that can fit inside an envelope. The gift you put inside the birthday card can be an extra gift such as a small framed picture or engraved bookmark, or it can be the main gift, such as a cell phone. No matter what, the recipient will be surprised to open their birthday card and see a gift hiding inside!
