How to Choose a Picture for Photo Birthday Cards

With the ease and fun of creating photo birthday cards online, they are becoming more and more popular every year. Even so, many people are not sure which photo to choose to put in the cards. There are basically two options: a picture of the recipient or a picture of the giver. Of course, you can always compromise and put a picture of both of you together!

Picture of the Giver: For cards from grandchildren to grandparents, or friends and family that you haven't seen in a while, a picture of the giver can be nice. In this case, you want to update the recipient on what you look like, and give them a photo birthday card as a keepsake with your likeness. This is the same philosophy as sending Christmas photo cards.

Picture of the Birthday Boy or Girl: This version is mostly for children so that they can have a keepsake for themselves when they grow up. Be sure that you choose a great picture that they will enjoy putting up in their room or looking back on. If you have some childhood pictures of an adult, you can also make a great card about them growing up.

Some of the best photo birthday cards have pictures of friends or family having fun together. Don't feel that you have to choose between putting you or them on the card. Many of the cards at Tiny Prints are designed specifically for having pictures of best friends on them. Once you choose a great photo, pick out a great photo card to put it on, and you can fully customize the card before ordering.
