Planning a baby shower for a relative or close friend? In addition to planning the most important details like when to get those adorable turtle baby shower invitations in the mail, it is also important to think of fun ways to make the event enjoyable. Playing interactive games is one of the easiest ways to make sure guests have fun at the party, and here are a few of our favorite suggestions:
Give guests 5-10 minutes to create a baby out of Play Doh. Once the time runs out, arrange all of the babies on a paper plate and have the party honoree pick her favorite baby. Make sure she doesn’t know who created each baby so her answers are completely unbiased. Give the winner a small prize of your choice.
Pin 5-10 clothespins to each of your guests and take away one clothespin each time they say the word “baby”. At the end of the game, whoever still has the most clothespins attached to them is the winner and should receive a small prize.
This is a sentimental, ongoing game that can be completed throughout the shower and submitted to the host as guests leave. Provide each guest with a “Wishes for Baby” card template that gives them the opportunity to fill in the blanks for a variety of wishful phrases, such as “I hope you love ______” and “I hope you laugh _____”. Finished cards should be placed in a bag or decorative box and given to the expecting mother as a keepsake.
Everyone loves playing bingo, and you can put your own fun spin on the game by creating fun, baby-themed bingo cards. To make the game as personal as possible, ask the expecting mother to answer a variety of questions about her pregnancy like what type of food she craves most, how heavy she thinks the baby will be, etc. Put her answers on bingo cards and get ready to play!
"I am so happy and pleased with the way my baby shower invitations turned out. It was simple yet I was able to use their format to customize the invite to my preference. I highly recommend tiny prints. I was weary in the beginning because I have never used them before, but now I will continue to use them for all my invitation and card needs."
"THE INVITATIONS WERE VERY CUTE. MY DAUGHTER, THE MOTHER TO BE, HAD A NICKNAME GROWING UP OF "LADYBUG" SO THIS WAS THE PERFECT CARD FOR THE BABY SHOWER. MY LADYBUG IS HAVING A LITTLE LADYBUG."
"My husband and I planned a fun and exciting baby shower for our second child, who is due this NOVEMBER. I was looking for a special kind of invitation to go with our theme, Gender Reveal. The card I found on Tiny Prints was spot on with its design. It matches our decor to a T!!! I was elated. Our shower is being hosted by my sister and all invites have been mailed. Everyone of our closest family and friends have only the best of compliments about the design of the invitation! We couldn't have made it better ourselves, absolutely AWESOME!"
"This was perfect for my daughter's baby shower. It was classy and a little girly just like we wanted. We are very happy with the results."
"I was very pleased with the quality of the card stock, the printing and the on time delivery of my invitations . I also found the website easy to use . This card is perfect for a baby shower that will be given in Dana Point , California ( the Whale sighting capital of the West )"
